Meetings
Meetings are open to members and nonmembers alike. See the calendar below for the date and time of the next monthly meeting. The monthly meetings are generally held on the second Wednesday of the month. They start at 5:00 PM and finish sometime between 7:00 PM and 8:00 PM. You can find the schedule for the entire year below.
We also hold build sessions on a monthly basis where people work on projects of their choice. There is no agenda or presentation for these meetings and they are informal. These meetings are held about two weeks after the monthly meeting. The build sessions are held on Fridays or Saturdays starting at 10:00 AM and run till 4:00 PM. Their schedule is also shown in the calendar below.
Our monthly meetings agenda is 1) Business, 2) Tech Talk, 3) Show & Tell, 4) Test & Build Session. Business is usually quick where we plan upcoming events and activities. The Tech Talk presentation is where members or guests give a short talk about robotic events, electronics, programming, mechanical design, and any other interesting topic related to robotics. We follow the Tech Talk with Show & Tell, where we go around the room and share the projects we’re each currently working on. This provides a perfect opportunity to get feedback & assistance from other members. Also, listening to others is a great way to find inspiration for your next project. Attendees are welcome to attend all or part of the meeting.
Currently, the monthly meetings are being held in person at River City Labs (RCL) and online with Google Meet. We thank River City Labs for letting us host our meetings there. By the way, RCL is a great facility for makers of all types. See link below. If you would like to attend a meeting online, please contact Bruce at president@circpeoria.org so he can include you in the meeting invite. If you want to attend in person, please come on in.
